| Richard Joseph Henkes July 17, 1947 - November 13, 2010 WOODBURN - Richard J.
Henkes, age 63 of Woodburn, died Saturday from injuries sustained in an auto accident while returning from work in Portland. He was born in Woodburn a son to Harlan and Maxie
Crum-Henkes. He grew up in Woodburn attending St. Lukes School and Woodburn High School. Richard enlisted in the Air Force after high school. While in the Air Force he was taught the electrical trade. Richard was stationed in Turkey and Vietnam, as well as several locations in the states during his 12 years of service. After his discharge from the military, Richard started an electrical contracting business in Woodburn called Henkes Electric. Richard was a member of St. Luke Catholic Church, Woodburn Eagles and Elks Lodge.
Richard was preceded in death by one son, Richard J. Henkes Jr., who died in Iraq four years ago. |
